The National Park was begun as a tiger preservation site and today it is one of the biggest and most popular tiger reserves in India. Tiger spotting is easiest in the month of March (onset of summer) as the forest remains bare. The Ranthambore Fort is in the premises of the National Park and is an integral part of World Heritage Sites. Fishing cats and leopards are abundant. There is a Ganesh Temple in the fort, which is frequented by visitors in large numbers during annual Ganesh Festival.
Secularism is a specialty in India, where various religions are practiced in harmony with one another. It is obvious that there are innumerable religious destinations in the country as well. Vrindavan is one such vital place in India and considered as the abode of Lord Krishna, one of the most loved and revered deities in the country.
Holi is the main festival celebrated in Vrindavan and the celebrations begin almost 40 days before the main festival. Innumerable people from within the country as well as from abroad visit the place during this time. There are many temples in Mathura and Vrindavan including the famous ISKCON temple. Holi is celebrated here not with colors but with flower petals. The whole town is decorated beautifully.
The beauty of the Indian destinations is that each place has a different flavor of its own and is distinctly different from the other. The above mentioned places are perfect examples in this regard.
