The country is a great testing ground for newer technologies and you will enjoy 4G connectivity with a good infrastructure. Tech entrepreneurship is growing at a high rate and you can book or buy almost everything online. Sri Lanka is changing rapidly, so visit now.

2. Sri Lanka offers many amazing must visit sites

The geographical size of Sri Lanka might deceive many to think that the country does not have much for the tourist. However, Sri Lanka is packed with a serious punch offering diverse things to do. 3. Sri Lanka has two monsoon seasons

Two monsoon seasons affect the two sides of the island in an alternating pattern. The rainy season is shorter than other parts of the Asian continent, and you can always find sunny weather. The southwest monsoon brings heavy winds and intense rains to the west, hill country, and the southwest coast line, which is usually experienced between October to April. The second monsoon hits the eastern coastline and the northern regions of the island, usually between October and February.

4. Do not miss the scenic train rides

If you love different sceneries, travelling by train in Sri Lanka offers the best experience. From the green tea plantations to the elephants in Pinnawala, you will enjoy taking the scenic route.

You can start the Sri Lanka scenic train from the Negumbo airport, or alternatively from Colombo in the south.
