3 relaxing destinations you need to visit - Feet Do Travel
There’s nothing better than relaxing on your holiday or vacation, that’s what they’re for, right? We have enough drama and stress in our lives throughout the year, never mind having more of it on our holiday too! It’s clear that some people have become tangled up in a web of impressing others, that they end up heading on a holiday that’s not relaxing and not well suited to them whatsoever. It’s time that we start making our holidays relaxing again, we only get a little time off work, we should use it as an opportunity to escape everyday life and as a chance to relax without any stress weighing you down.

Whether you’re in it for the glam or you don't give a damn, do try to incorporate some relaxation into your holiday. It doesn’t have to be 100% zen if that’s not something you’d like, all you have to do is find a location where you can easily incorporate some relaxing things  into your trip and the worst that will happen is that you will benefit from it. Have a look at these holiday destinations where you can head to escape from the daily grind and come back home feeling revived.

Dubrovnik (Croatia)

Dubrovnik is known to be southern Croatia's most precious gem. In recent years, the city of Dubrovnik has been used to shoot scenes for the hit TV show ‘Game of Thrones’, which sums up just how unique and picturesque the city actually is. This has lead to a boom in tourism, which has been great for Croatia.

If a relaxing city break is something that you’re interested in, then Dubrovnik is the place for you. Its popularity with tourists can often be discouraging to people who wish to visit as they think this would make it the complete opposite of a relaxing holiday. Dubrovnik sits overlooking the stunning adriatic sea, creating a sense of calmness throughout the city. During your time in Dubrovnik, you can relax by taking a stroll through the medieval town, taking a boat out to sea or simply to soak up the sun on a sandy beach.

Galle (Sri Lanka)

This historical city in Sri Lanka is located on the southwest coast of the country. Galle is known for being a historical city, with it’s most popular and indeed, most loved attraction being it’s UNESCO world heritage site, The Old Dutch Fort. If you’re a history buff and you're open to learning more, then a trip to Galle could be just what you need. Learning new things on a holiday can make you much more relaxed, it makes you feel as though you have accomplished something during your trip, instead of thinking that you have simply spent your valuable time doing nothing worthwhile.

If the appreciation of nature and the atmosphere in Galle isn’t enough to relax you completely, you can indulge on a Sri Lankan massage (known for relaxing and improving well-being), you can hire a boat and enjoy the tranquility of the city at sea or simply sunbathe whilst enjoying the beauty of Unawatuna Beach. The opportunities are endless here.

Da Lat (Vietnam)

Da Lat is a city in the Southern Central highlands of Vietnam, it’s been the regions most popular location to visit since the 16th century. The rich culture and remarkable history of Da Lat is something that encourages visitors to return to this unique location time and time again. Da Lat is a city with many nicknames, such as ‘City of a Thousand Flowers’ and ‘City of a Thousand Palms’, each of the nicknames given to this city project just how calming and relaxing the city is. When out and about exploring Da Lat, you will soon realise that there’s a European feeling to it, which is mainly due to the French colonial architecture throughout the city. This architecture is indeed like no other and plays a part on your experience in Vietnam.

Although it’s not a busy city, there’s still lots for you to do in Da Lat. You can spend your days doing things like hikiking the stunning Lang Biang Mountain, taking a trip to the Elephant Waterfalls and if you’re desperately needing to experience the vibrant side of the city, the Dalat Night Market is the perfect place to do so, as it showcases the strong culture of the city perfectly.
